Re: [techlectures] AAS Degree Programs

I can study to be an RN for that amount or take the plunge become a
pharmacist or a physician assistant.

32K for a job that you will probably be making minimum wage and a
buck here and there is indentured servitude.

There is no way the chain pharmacies will pay you what that degree is
worth.. There isn't enough hospital tech positions to accommodate
everyone one at $15/hr starting. What I'm guessing chains would be
temped to do is this A store has two pharmacist, and 4 techs working. Drop one of the pharmacist (who is making around 80-100K/year), have the AAS pick up some of his tasks (who knows what that might be) and drop one regular tech or just keep keep them.

The pharmacists are looking over their shoulders at this one. A two
year degree nurse can take doctor phone orders, and a whole host of
other stuff a AAS tech could probably do.

I doubt that this degree will be very popular with THEM. lol
