They say hell is full of people with good intentions, it's just an old expression and is not intended toward you. I certainly understand your position, but I would have to tell him, perhaps we have misjudged him, perhaps there may be a few, that he would suggest your method, especially if they were short on change, no insurance, and could not make monthly visits, only quarterly visits. I worked in the medical field, there are many with integrity, there are many who feel the system owes them as well and will take advantage of you.
I am one who always gives the benefit of doubt, tell him, it's his choice to use that information or not, but any burden has been lifted from you. You have done all that you can do, nothing more for you. You go home and have peaceful dreams as you have taken command of your health, and done your part to help others.
